Merril Hodge Agenda

Hodge smashed Young again today. Said that Fisher did a good job of covering up Youngs weaknesses. He will not give Young any credit. F@ckin *****. THen he had the nerve to say that TO hurts the cowboys more than any receiver and that TO is not in the TOP 15 of Wideouts in the league ! Wow! Watch these videos of hodge too. *****!!! Does anyone know why he hates vince young so much?

Ratings..... That's the reason he states some of the stuff he states.

He's admitted to much on the radio here in Pittsburgh.

Re: Merril Hodge Agenda

He's right about Young. Young has played well, but they do a good job of masking his weakpoints. Which is what any good coaching staff will do with a young QB.. Young still has his issues in the pass game, he's still not super effective as a passer. But they manage that offense in a way that allows him to have success.

As Young gets better and more efficient you will really see them open that offense.

Re: Merril Hodge Agenda

LOL ..according to Hoge, neither Young nor Leinart should have been 1st round picks. Only Cutler and Kellen Clemens were "worthy" according to him... Its clear why he is a "paid actor, hack" on ESPN instead of working for a team. Hoge is a tool that either knows little about QBs, or he doesnt like QBs, or both. If it were up to him, there wouldnt be many Qbs drafted highly.

but I think ill take the comments about VY from Tony Dungy, Dan Reeves, Jeff Fisher, Billick, Montana, Ronnie Lott, Dwight Freeney, Steve McNair and others over Hoge's views about Young. Hoge obviously has an agenda against him. Ive never seen an "analyst" on television with such an agenda against a player. It's certainly not professional, but what does ESPN care? They are in the "entertainment" and ratings business now anyway.

Re: Merril Hodge Agenda

well its one thing to not be "overly excited" about a young QB especially one that bring so much excitement ot his game, but the truth is, is that this guy is not taking a stand as an "analyst". An analyst would state many reasons for his POV and also would say how to improve on the weaknesses, etc. this guy goes on and bashes VY for 10 minutes per show, i mean even the ppl sitting around him are like WTF is your problem? anything good that is said about young, this guy chimes in with, NO, this guy sucks, end of story. he always says he will dismantle the titans organization, etc when all anyone else sees is this guy bringing hope, and rising the organization out of the ashes. they seem to be the most pumped up 5-7 team with no chance at the playoffs in the league. and alot of that has to do with VY.

Next year meril hodge will be checking his closet for vince young before he goes to sleep.

Well said.

Only think I disagree with you on, is there's no way VY> Chuck Norris. It's simply not possible.

Re: Merril Hodge Agenda

ESPN really needs to cut down on these hacks and have more people like Clayton and Mort doing analysis.

Clayton's the biggest hack of them all.

I don't really watch ESPN that much anymore. I watch highlights and that's about it.

Hell, for NFL stuff, I watch the NFL channel now almost exclusively.
