Yes there is. Now if I say that pound for pound the Giants are a better team than the Pats then that's homerism. If i say the Giants will beat the Patriots that's optimism, or in my case, stating what's what! lol

PS: Pound for pound the Giants may indeed be the better team all except for 225 of those pounds.

I think he read your post the opposite way. Instead of reading it as the Giants are good aside from Manning, I think he interpreted the opposite way.
