Back to the potential strike....

Why wouldn't the owners seek to end the CBA? The NFLPA has let themselves be trampled on thanks to Upshaw's "leadership" in the past few years. They see they are weak. They are probably looking to strike when the iron is hot.
Okay then apparently it's not as common as I thought. I have however seen jobs that require a full medical report, including blood tests. Not for drug testing purposes though.

Still, even if it's not common I really don't see the big deal about a blood test. And I certainly don't see how it's any worse than a urine test.

You're right...I don't watch baseball or basketball or hockey on TV anymore during their regular season's because after the strikes i just din't care anymore

Re: Gene Upshaw threatens strike

With the new drug testing alliance between MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL and yes even the PGA. The NFL players are going to look very bad. If Upshaw seriously fights against this kind of Olympic style anti-doping testing then he's going to be round criticized and it could bring the senate into the mix. The NFL does NOT want to be a whipping boy in public the way baseball has been.

Besides, i've never seen Olympic athletes really challenge the testing results of positive tests. The exception would be Floyd Landis after the Tour De France but well, he was proven to be a bold faced liar after 3 SEPARATE tests came up positive.
