If Long is the guy, I know the Rams may be passing up on a potential superstar in Dorsey, but I don't mind that they are apparently going to go with the "safer" pick. If he can be 75% the player that his pops was, then he'll have a great career.

If I were in the Rams front office, i'd want to see Carricker (sp?) and Dorsey next to each other for the next 10 years. It would be very, very good.

The Rams don't have bad talent, remember. Just they could not stay healthy at all.

I won't be posting in this thread until the end of Day One or when I get too bored LOL! I will be making some mental notes to put down here afterwards.

I just want to say that if Ryan does go to Atlanta it's not all that bad. I think a lot of people are under valuing the guy. Sure, he may not have an NFL arm but neither did Joe Montana or even Tom Brady when they were drafted. I'm not saying Ryan is going to be at their level but I do think he has enough football smarts to make it in the league.

The draft is not about finding finished products, it's about finding guys who are nearly at their peak potential who can be even better with a little more coaching at the NFL level. Granted, the Falcons need a LOT of help. They're going to have to draft very well today.
