Probably because he(Rudy)doesn't think it's that big of a deal as some people are making it seem and doesn't want to go thru the whole court process. Especially when he's on a new team and he has to learn a new offense. He'd be too far behind with missing time to deal with it.

I love how Tatum says it was a mistake and he was picking up bags he thought belonged to another teammate that asked him to grab his bags for him since he too had recently been cut. First off, who is this teammate and why hasnt he stepped forward to back up Bell in the first place? Even if it is true, where are the guys belongings? This is beyond ridiculous imo.
