Re: Indianapolis Colts @ Green Bay Packers

Colts D looks fired up again and killed the run against the vaunted Raven run game.

Colts are giving up 161 ypg on the ground. Packers 153 ypg on the ground.

Our O-line is getting healthier giving Manning more time.

Do the packers trust their nickle corner (or #2 if its man-to-man) on Wayne?

Any of the safeties good enuf and dallas clark?

Packers secondary need to hold Manning back or it will be a long day for the Packer Offense.

And the same thing can be said for the Colts' Secondary, ESPECIALLY since Sanders isn't back there.

I hope folks aren't trying to spin this as if one defense is better than the other because both defenses have struggled so far this season, even though both teams are facing injuries in the defense.

Should be a good game. My roommate is a Colts fan so it should be fun. I'm going to go with:

Packers - 28
Colts - 24

Re: Indianapolis Colts @ Green Bay Packers

This is one of those hard games to call. Are the Packers a decent team or are they just scrapping by? Are the Colts really back, or was last week an anomaly?

Since it seems like Joseph Addai is out and the Colts can't generate much of a running game which is the key to their passing attack I think it'll be close. This is one of those instances where one has to give the nod to the home team.

Packers by a Field Goal.

Donald Driver's and Ryan Grant's coming out party. They've been quiet all season and they will awaken from their deep sleep and raise vengence. You heard it first right here folks.

Re: Indianapolis Colts @ Green Bay Packers

lol, I was staying away from this one but you called me out. This is a tough one.

I saw the Colts up close and personal last week... a little too personal . They took full advantage of the hole in the Ravens secondary. Manning found Ivy/Walker (subbing for Rolle/Washington) over and over and over. Considering the injuries in the Packers secondary, that kind of scares me. He also wasn't scared of McAlister and Harrison looked back to speed against our #1 corner too, which means Woodson's not safe either. Rhodes is no Addai but he is as good as Addai has played so far this year and that's good enough.

The Colts D stopped the Ravens running game w/o Bob Sanders. That was telling. I don't know if that was a one time thing or not but the Ravens rushing attack has been solid all year so it was a bit surprising. It's also possible that it's b/c they didn't have to respect Flacco and company as much as they'll have to respect Rodgers, Jennings, Driver, etc. I do think the ranking of the Colts pass D is a bit of smoke and mirrors. Look at the QBs they've faced so far, and they also have struggled against the run before last week so I think that inflates that number. The Pack will be able to pass on them.

I think this is going to be a high scoring game. If Grant can get going I think the Pack will win. If the Colts run D really can stop the run now w/o Sanders then that'll make it a bit more interesting. If Grant has an average to below average game, this will be a career making game for Aaron Rodgers. He pulls out a win and he'll be the talk of the week.
