Lets say it comes back that there was insufficient evidence that the cocaine that was in the car belonged to Jones. Jones' own Dad has said there was cocaine in the car, he said it wasnt Jones' cocaine but that it was in the car in closest proximity to Jones. So, for arguments sake Jones walks on insufficient evidence or a technicality, did the damage to the leagues image already occur or does he have to be found guilty otherwise it doesnt matter? Remember how Adam Jones was getting ripped to shreds for going by strip club on the way to see the Commish back when he was trying to get back into the NFL? People called him an idiot, questioned his ability to stay out of trouble and how he was a black eye on the NFL. Now we have a guy in a car with cocaine that supposendly isnt his and everyone wants to wait until he receives due process before labeling the guy an idiot for putting himself in that position in the first place? Due process is for the courts to decide, Jones being an idiot for putting himself in that position and hurting the NFL's image is for the Commish to decide.
The reason both Adam and Chris Henry have gotten more chances than we all know they deserve is b/c of the legal results of their cases. The reason they've been punished anyway is b/c of the number of incidents they've had. Matt Jones has one incident. Every case that Goodell has had has waited for the courts before making a final decision. Even with Vick.
