Sapp vs. Strahan

can you believe strahan called Sapp a jackass?
IMO Sapp is a better played and being a DT he can't get as many sacks as a DE, and even if maybe strahan is better

sapp is no jackass, ya jackass

Re: Sapp vs. Strahan

I think Strahan nailed it right on the head when he said that Sapp needs to shut up until he actually wins a meaningful game. He and Keyshawn Johnson are always in the media making these bold statements, yet neither of them has ever done anything in the postseason. It further cements the Bucs' reputation as a team full of underachieving loudmouth paper champions. Strahan hasn't done a whole lot, but at least he's made it to a Super Bowl.

Re: Sapp vs. Strahan

Sapp does talk a bit more than he produces though Bama. He was railing at the start of the last season that
he was gonna break Marc Gastineau's record. Haha It's ironic that the guy who's calling him a jackass is the sam
guy who broke the record.

Re: Sapp vs. Strahan

well he is kind of a jackass.
He's good but he talks a lot of trash. People should be able to talk back.

Re: Sapp vs. Strahan

Nah, but Sapp shouldn't be spouting a lot of the stuff he has either. Don't think Strahan would have gone off if Sapp didn't fire the first salvo. I personally think Favre gave it to him, as I've never seen him just sit down when he turns and sees a rusher, but still....21.5 sacks is 21.5 sacks. Other people have had "gift" sacks before, just because it's the record sack....who cares.

And I agree, I think Sapp rocks, but it's tough to fight through double and triple teams from the center of the line.

Re: Sapp vs. Strahan

coming from an Eagles fan/Giants *****....what has Sapp actually accomplished? Strahan was right...

Strahan was a beast last year, just ask Jon Runyan, one of the better O-tackles in the game...

Re: Sapp vs. Strahan

That's true TCrouch he is getting double and triple teamed. I think though, he needs to improve his run
stopping, he only concentrates on getting sacks. You can be a Sam Adams/Gilbert Brown and Joe Johnson, He
has that type of talent.

Re: Sapp vs. Strahan

Sapp, should worry less about Strahan and more about his own squad. As if saying he was going after the record, and then only getting a measley 6 sacks wasn't bad enough, then he goes and calls out the guy who actually did get the record.

Bamafan your right, about its tougher to get sacks from the DT spot, however if you are going to run your mouth, then you better back it up, and he didn't. And to make matters worth he talked a bunch of BLEEP, about the guy who did back it up. And really what have the Bucs ever accomplished. Their D was no where near as good as it has been in the past, McNabb absolutely took them apart in the playoffs.

Bottom line if your gonna talk the talk, you need to back it up.
