Rosencopter is gone(maybe)....he's a good backup...but with Minny, he won't have to throw a ton. He'd be the best QB there if deal is done.
Lol at "Rosencopter" .

That would be epic. You would have to watch for the option on any play. Imagine Vick, AP and Taylor running a wishbone offense...

Re: Texans near deal to send Sage Rosenfels to Minnesota..

The trade is now official and it was for a 4th round pick. Sage got a 3 year 9 million dollar deal. His press conference is at 1:30pm central time streaming live on KFAN.com if anyone is interested.

I wanted Garcia but I'm cool with a 4th rounder for Sage. It sounds like it's going to be a open competition in camp for the starting job but we all know Childress is big on Jackson. In the grand scheme of things, this isn't the worst move in the world. The Bears might make a run at Garcia, which would have caused a bidding war for a 39 year old QB, McNabb isn't going anywhere, Cassell would have costed way too much, and the same with Warner. Sage isn't the answer, but he pushed Gus out and is the best free agent QB Childress has brought in. I'm not giving up on Jackson and hopefully Sage can push hard for the job which is something that has not been done in the Childress era. May the best man win. My early guess is that Sage will be that starting QB Week 1 but it's pretty early to say anything one way or the other.

One year. Ask Aaron Rodgers.

As expected, the Vikes waived Gus Frerotte after the Sage trade was final. As it stands now, the Vikings have Jackson, Rosenfels, and Booty as the QB's.

Childress wouldn't say who was the #1 guy at the moment at the press conference that just took place, but added they will add a 4th QB to the mix. No hints on who it would be though.

Last year he was.

I bet he was top 10 overall for the league, not just NFC.

That is what I meant by one year, not someone like Manning or Brady who have done it continuously.

Edit-- Rodgers ranked #6 overall last year.

This team is built for now. Garcia could've won for them now while helping mentor Jackson. Both parties missed the boat on this IMO. If Jackson can play like he did down the stretch, no worries.

Garcia will fold anywhere he goes that doesn't use a WCO

He almost made the top 5 in his first year as a starter. It would be silly to even think about him on the all-time list. Is that what you thought Roadman was saying?
