Denver Broncos has more draft picks now.....

As you all know, Josh McDaniel’s expressed interest in Pat white. He went to his Pro-Day not to long ago. Now that this (Cutler) trade went through do you think Denver might use some of their "extra" draft picks to get someone like Pat white or trade up for someone like Mark Sanchez?

McDaniel’s said if he decides to pick Pat White up he won't turn him into an Antwan Randel'el. He said he would develop him into a better QB. He also said that he was impressed with his accuracy as well as his arm strength. Mark Sanchez is obviously the better QB and one of the Top 5 Draft Picks. Would it be worth it to trade up and risk losing more than one draft pick?

Simms and Orton can't be the Denver Broncos future?

What do you all think?

If they wanted Sanchez they would have traded him to Detroit. No way they trade up for Sanchez.

They will deal with Orton/Simms this year...

Next year they will have TWO first round picks.

Depending on their draft position, I bet they trade both picks to move up and take Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy or Tim Tebow in the 2010 Draft.

I think Denver fans are underestimating Orton, while I don't think he is up to the level of Cutler, he isnt awful. Last season he was making huge strides and having a breakout year until he hurt his ankle and was rushed back too fast. I am not trying to say he will be a franchise QB but he shouldn't be written off so quickly.

I'm intrigued with Orton to see how he does with an offensive line that can protect but an abysmal defense.

Re: Denver Broncos has more draft picks now.....

I for one am not underestimating Orton. Jay Cutler on the average would throw 56 passes per sack; Orton 17. Matt Cassel had never started a college or pro game but under McDaniels suddenly became a "franchise" type quarterback (note the quotation marks!). Imagine Orton under McDaniels. This could be his time to become a "franchise" quarterback.

The one thing that I heard today that was impressive was interviews with Bears receivers after the trade went down, each commented that this morning they had workouts and were running routes with Kyle Orton. Where was Jay Cutler? In Nashville recovering from his night out at an UFC event, not where his receivers were, working.

I say keep Orton as starting quaterback for this year and use those draft picks on some much needed defensive help. Then if Orton does not work out, draft a QB next year.
