There's no way Eli deserves that amount of money. I could understand a quarterback such as Brady wanting that much because even though pepole may not like him, he's still a great quarterback. I for one still dislike him and the Patriots for beating the Rams in the 01 Superbowl but Eli is nowhere near Brady's talent level. Don't get me wrong, Eli gave the Giants a superbowl ring, but the kid isn't that great. He overthrows, he underthrows. If I got a dollar for every time he threw a pass that was actually to the receiver I'd be the poorest person alive.

nobody in here cite the stafford contract? eli's agent will through that thing on the table and say, 'the bidding starts there.' sure you can nitpick him but come on. there arent many people who can play qb in new york over the long term and be succesful, he clearly is one of them and has all the bargaining power.
