Sometimes a playing gig is a playing gig. There's no shame in not being a starter in the NFL. Thousands of people fail at it year after year and so will many thousands more.

Better to play a game you love (and get paid) than not to play at all, IMO.

Good for him. Let's hope he can play well enough to get back into the NFL one day. If he plays like he did against the Jets, there's always the CFL or Arena Leagues...

I'd think Jim Fassel, as incompetent as he was post-Superbowl appearance with the Giants, will be able to manage the offense better than Jauron/Fairchild/Schonert did, so we'll see how his UFL stint goes.

Yeah, as much as he frustrated me when he was playing for the Bills, I'm glad to see him end up with a starting gig somewhere. My brother's a bigger Bills fan and is just laughing at the fact that Losman couldn't be an NFL backup but I think Losman would have preferred to start in the UFL than back up in the NFL. He's a very good guy too so I'm happy for him.

Ugh, Losman...

The only reason I mildly like him is because he was a gunslinger for me in Madden 06. Two time Super Bowl champ!

I actually didn't mind him since we had Trent Edwards step up. But then last year with that game against the Jets, all hope was lost. That was a disgusting display by the Bills team in general, but Losman's the one who fumbled the ball.

I feel sorry for any team in any league who has J. P. f'n Losman as a quarterback aka Mr. One Second Panic Man. He is and always will be one of THE top draft busts the Bills ever had especially considering we traded up to get him. I hoped he would pan out but deep down always knew he wouldn't. Good riddance.
