I know he didn't sign with Green Bay because you thought he sucked, but I would think he qualifies for this thread.

I can't think of any for the Bears really. I was super pissed back in the day when we let Wilbur Marshall go to the Redskins, we got 2 1sts for him but I still didn't want him traded.

I thought it was dumb to cut Columbo, but he's not a stud or anything. Still a first rd pick that we rehabbed then let walk for nothing. Our Oline sucks so I didn't see the logic behind it.

Trotter didn't do much in WAS aside from one good yr so in hindsight that wasn't too bad.

Dawkins I guess falls under that "get rid of him a yr early instead of a yr late" mantra.

-Al Harris became GBs best CB and is currently still half of a very good duo in GB.

-TO...well we all know what happened there, and we all know the year TO had in '04 thru 8 weeks before his injury (thanks non-tackling Roy Williams).

-Stallworth had a good season, WHEN ON THE FIELD, but injuries and a high price tag made PHI avoid a long-term deal. Hindsight being 50/50 I guess it works out, but he definitely had a rapport w/ Donovan.

-Barber had successful years in KC, and had he stayed in PHI we would've had more success on the left side rather than pushing out stop-gap measures in Nate Wayne and Mark Simounea.

Bobby Engram, Walt Harris, Roosevelt Colvin...those are just guys from '99.

Given your lack of depth @ WR...Engram would be a nice addition right now. NE pryed Colvin away, which didn't really end up all that bad given his injuries, but he did have 3 healthy years in NE accumulating 22 sacks.

Walt Harris has bounced around, but you all drafted him as a 1st rounder and he has had some succesful elsewhere; 15 INTs CHI, 20 elsewhere.

EDIT: Bernard Berrian is a guy you all let get away too, and then to another division at that. He was turning out to be a nice weapon too.

And I know you didn't say draft picks, but the niners traded away a first, second, third, and fourth round draft pick for OJ Simpson. A 31 year old, arthritic OJ Simpson. I still don't understand why on earth somebody would trade that much for a 31 year old RB.
