IMO Portis IS a better back than any of the guys who followed him. I was just saying a back of Portis' caliber would of dominated even more. He's been churning close to 1,000 yd seasons for the Redskins who O-line isn't the best. And also I didn't realize they were traded for each other, my bad

I think that just pissed everyone off because it was a freaking paperwork mistake that led to it.

The Bears are pretty at keeping players who are worth a damn. You could say maybe like Justin Gage, but he had his time here and I doubt many were pissed.

Was it just me being young or did the bears always seem to have like an above average receiving corp in the 90's? Jeff Graham, Tommy Waddle, Curtis Conway, Bobby Engram... They always seemed to have plenty of serviceable WR's like they were growing on trees. Never a star, but solid pros.

The only really good players the Steelers have let go of lately are Plaxico Burress and Joey Porter. Both those players were replaced quite well by Santonio Holmes and James Harrison.

Most of the free agents that we lose don't go on to become anything. Yancy Thigpen took 22 million from the Titans, and never did anything for them.

The best player we've ever let go of in free agency is probably Kevin Greene.
