Texans, Saints exchange blows

The morning practice today between the Texans and Saints turned into Fight Club. There were six bouts. The headliners were middle linebacker DeMeco Ryans vs. tight end Jeremy Shockey and fullback Vonta Leach vs. defensive tackle Rod Coleman.

"They think they can take over when they come here to Houston, but this is our house, and we have to let them know it,” Ryans said. “You can’t allow it. We have to stick up for our guys. It just gets me more pumped up to go out there on Saturday.”
Link to video of Shockey vs Ryans.

Re: Texans, Saint exchange blows

The Texans were whining because apparently the Saints defense was trying too hard to take the ball from them.

Football fights are so damn stupid. No one ever does anything and the only thing that can come out of it is a broken hand.

If you're going to punch a guy... make sure his helmet is off first. SMH.

He didn't really, two guys went after him and then jumped on him.

Re: Texans, Saint exchange blows

It's nice to see Jeremy actually showing some passion for the game that he supposedly doesn't give two "craps" about. Looks like he is healthy and actually sober for a change which is great. I have always liked the guy, but it is no secret he has had serious substance abuse problems and inner demons. I hate the Saints with a passion, but I will be rooting for Jeremy to have a great comeback season.
