Re: Week 2: Bucs at Bills

I didn't exactly like the way the half ended but I do like what i'm seeing overall from the Bills. That one long bomb to Owens should've been caught by him. The defense has been playing bend but don't break for the most part. I still don't like how conservative the play calling is with the running plays but it seems to be working.

I don't think i've seen a single screen yet which was highly effective last week. Hopefully they bring that back to the gameplan in the 2nd half.

Pretty solid win though once again injuries are piling up. It looks like Brad Butler might be out for some time. We can't afford to lose O-Linemen so i'm hoping it looked worse then it was.

Re: Week 2: Bucs at Bills

I think the big difference between the two is that Jackson can make the Bills line look much better. I saw a lot of Bills games last season and one thing I saw was Lynch, if bottled up in the middle, can't bounce it outside...Jackson seems to have much better cutback ability...

I don't necessarily agree. You can't really compare the two because they're good at different things. It'd be like saying Airplanes > Applesauce.

I'll be glad when Lynch comes back because he'll provide a nice change of pace from Freddy. But I also hope Freddy remains a big part of this offense.

Re: Week 2: Bucs at Bills

TJ you're right but with Marshawn's style it's going to require him getting the ball A TON because the O-Line while pretty good, isn't very strong in the middle. I mean that's Lynch's strong suit and we're going to see a lot of 2-3 yard gains with a couple big gainers. At least with Jackson with his cutback ability he can buy time and get bigger chunks with less carries.

I just hope the coaching staff doesn't forget about Jackson when Lynch comes back but I have the nagging feeling that's exactly what will happen.
