Titans Dump Chris Henry

Titans released RB Chris Henry.

The writing has been on the wall since the team selected Javon Ringer in this year's draft. The 2007 second-round bust was inactive every game last season and has yet to see a carry this year. Another team will likely fall for Henry's workout wonder athleticism, but he lacks instincts and vision as a runner.

Can't say I'll miss him too much...... hopefully we can replace him with a PR who will only do PRs and let these cornerbacks of ours concentrate on defense and not returning punts.

LOL, the funny thing is that the only reason this guy wasnt cut last preseason is because the Titans didnt want to admit they made a horrible pick. I mean drafting CJ was close to saying it, but I mean they never really intended on putting this guy on the field after they drafted CJ, they were saving face keeping this dude i mean dud on the team.

Re: Titans Dump Chris Henry

The thing with Henry is he never really got thrown out on the field and failed. He had a few chances and he showed just as much promise as he did disappointing play. He has poor vision but is very physical, and it wasn't unusual to see the guy who brought him down shaken up straight afterwards.

Obviously, given the importance of the position, Fisher wasn't prepared to let an unknown loose on the field and obviously in camp and practice he didn't show the coaches enough, but I still think given the chance and right situation he may be able to contribute in at least a carry share role.
