So in other words, no one knows anything yet.

No, it means he hasn't met with him and won't fire him until he, at the very least, meets him and they have "the meeting" *the phrase Holmgren used, not mine.*

You have a point there but DC is not a bad location and the franchise can easily be considered a "heritage franchise" meaning it's one of the teams that any coach worth his salt would love to work for.
If you want to get paid.

Bears keep Lovie Smith and GM Jerry Angelo. It proves Bears ownership does not want to win and it`s a slap in the face of Bears fans.

not after 1 year. He actually did a lot better than people thought he was going to do going into the season.

Oh dear... wanna fire a guy because his below-average team lost to a bunch of above-average teams and the Chiefs, who I think you could argue were a more talented team than Denver without Marshall. Honestly, the fact that this team didn't go 4-12 is pretty remarkable.

Re: 2010 Fired Coaches Thread

It would seem kind of weird to fire Mangini after one year with the way they finished the season. His problem all year seemed to be that the players hated him and wouldn't play for him, but winning their last 4 games shows that wasn't really the case. If Holmgren has his own guy in mind already then that's one thing but I think it would be unfair to fire him based on how this season went, and I'm not exactly a Mangini fan.
