Julius Peppers remains in Carolina

Julius Peppers will remain with the Carolina Panthers for the next 7 years as he signed a lucrative 7 year deal with the club on Friday. Julius has been stating he wanted to play in a 3-4 defense to be utilized as a linebacker (ala DeMarcus Ware), but he had second thoughts coming off the season and decided his future is with the Carolina Panthers.

"I was born in Carolina, raised, went to school, and was drafted. This is my destiny. I am an All-American athelete." Peppers stated shortly after the signing.

Many doubted Julius would return after last seasons shirade, when he stated he wanted to be apart of a 3-4 alignment because he wasn't working at his full potential. Julius was interested in the Packers, Jets, Cowboys, or Patriots. Packers, his former defensive coordinator for the Panthers Mike Trgovac, Jets because of colleague Kris Jenkins from Carolina during the Super Bowl run. Cowboys and Patriots because of their fanbase and prestige in the sport of Football.
