Get Lebron in some pads and putting in work and he would excel anywhere you put him.

The guy is IMO the best athlete in the world. I can't imagine any DB being able to cover him if he actually put in the time and learned the game.

Also, can you imagine him putting on more weight and getting after the QB? Oh lawd...

Physically, yes.

Mentally, maybe a couple of years ago, but now I think he'd crumple.

WR or TE.

I think he probably could, dude is freakishly tall and has mad hops so I think he could do it if he learns how to run routes.

Not just you but it's been talked about to death before his recent "I can't get attention during this lock out so I'm going to send some tweets" act. The guy was a great football player in high school. Makes sense considering he was a man amongst boys and it's high school football. It'd take him probably 3 years to be anything more than a goal line fade route target, and since we're talking about PROFESSIONAL football, it'd still be a huge question if he could ever be any more than that. There are lots of really tall, athletic guys that didn't make it in the NFL.

I agree with everything in this post, well done.

You know who the most underrated NFL analyst is? Warren Sapp. Seriously, I know a lot of people don't like him but he makes things so simple when he breaks them down sometimes and last night on Inside the NFL he summed it up perfectly, in basketball if you bump into someones arm it's a foul. Years and years of learning how to fall when someone brushes into you isn't good preparation for probably the most physical sport in the world, stay on your side of the street LeBron.

"LeBron stop. Please, just stop LeBron." - Warren Sapp

Re: Could LeBron James compete in the NFL?

Would he make a team? Hell Yes.

Will he play? Depends on how dedicated he is to learning the playbook.

Will he make an impact? Not at all.
