Honorable mentions: TE Brent Celek and DE Trent Cole...both hard-nosed players, and Cole has a motor that you just can't stop.

I would pick Jason Witten. Alot of good players to chose from but he stands above the rest imo.

Patrick Willis: Best Linebacker in the NFL. By a mile. Bone crunching hitter and faster than alot of receivers.

Frank Gore: Probably the most underrated running back in the league. Runs angry and breaks a ton of long runs.

Alex Smith: Showed flashes of greatness last year, even behind a horrid line missing it's best player (Joe Staley) and his #1 receiver missing all of training camp and 5 full games. First time in his career he gets the same O-coordinator for 2 seasons and with a rebuilt line, the glory days are coming once again by the bay.

Vernon Davis: Considered by many as the best blocking TE in the league coming into last season, he developed into the best receiving TE too. Faster than almost all Db's and way bigger than linebackers, the NFL has never seen a monster like him. Look for an even bigger year out of VD this year with Alex starting from the beginning.

Taylor Mays: I love the things I have read about and heard about this guy. Both Ronnie Lott and Rod Woodson say he is going to be an All-Pro. Hard to argue with those 2 guys. Has the size and speed to just destroy Wr's. If he buys in to Singletary's system (he has no choice), I expect huge things from this physical anomaly.
