This. Packers were outplayed in almost every way, but somehow managed to pull out a victory.

All I can really say is our defense better get into shape. If we're gonna let Shaun Hill eat us up, then I can only imagine what a good QB will do. We also NEED (may I repeat?) NEED a decent running back. Brandon Jackson is just horrible. Kuhn has some decent runs, but he's a FB! I mean, c'mon...

GG Lions fans.

The Lions were very impressive and the Packers were very depressing.

The better team did lose.

I have to say even though the Lions are losing these close ballgames it's a positive sign. Usually a young team that plays close games like that and lose the way the Lions have tend to get it all together the next year and play some great ball.

I honestly think there's light at the end of the tunnel for Detroit.

Major props the Lions playing this hard each game even without Stafford.

This season is proving that a lot of these favorites in games end up playing close games

I see what you are saying, and I want to be hopeful as well. There are good signs.

But, not to be constantly hating, I've said that kind of thing before. In the early 90's. In the late 90's. Mid 2000's. Just seen it too many times to have much faith anymore. I mean, we're 0-4...losing tight ones only gets you so excited...

Hey, least the Lions were pretty good in the early '90s and okayish in the late '90s. How soon we forget that the Lions were in the NFC Championship game in 1991. (OK it was a long time ago but still) This lions organization is doing something that the Barry Sanders Era never did and that's totally building the team through the draft. When Barry was around they'd pick up a few players in the draft but it was haphazard as a lot of guys were free agents and such.

At least the Lions now are focusing on drafting their key players. I think they're one more draft and a few shrewd free agency signings away from being a significant team in the league.
