Re: Official NFL Scouting Combine 2011 Thread

Poor Ras-I Dowling (CB, Virginia) has had a heck of a time with injuries over the past calendar year.

He ran a 4.4 flat (unofficial) in the 40, but in the process pulled up with a hamstring injury in the final ten yards of the run and couldn't participate in any other combine drills.

Unless he has a tremendous pro day, I doubt he gets drafted in the second round at this point, which is disappointing considering that coming into the 2010 football season he was regarded as a first-round caliber player.

That's ok. Let him fall to the Ravens in the 3rd

Disclaimer: I don't mean to compare McElroy's skills to Tom Brady or Tony Romo.
The biggest knock against him in my opinion is how long he holds onto the ball. He often refused to attempt throws into tight windows (which is what most NFL throws are) and took sacks because of it. Also, as someone else mentioned, his arm strength isn't the greatest but it's not all that bad (certainly better than Chad Pennington).
