***NFL POLL***Tampa\'s Quarterback Controversy

Ok. Who do you think is going to win the starting job in Tampa Bay this year? Will the connection be Johnson and Johnson (Brad), Johnson to Johnson (Rob), or King to Defensive Back (Shawn)?!

Feel free to post reasons and discuss why you selected that particular quarterback. I personally feel that Brad will be pushed by Rob, but will retain the starting position solely on the fact that he handles pressure better than Rob or Shawn. But I would laugh if Shawn King snuck up on both of them and Gruden gave the job to him.

Your thoughts are and will be appreciated.

I personally think they all suck, but if I have to choose 1 I say King.

Shaun not Shawn. And King is the best, they all suck.

Brad Johnson is the bestest. King is ok. Rob Johnson can't get rid of the ball if it penis was gonna get chopped off.

I agree that Brad is the best of that bunch.

King isn't bad, but he's the Kordell-mold. Not going to go out and win games with his skills, but he'll try not to screw up too badly.

Rob Johnson is a joke. The guy will take a sack so he won't hurt his completion percentage...then he'll fumble it the next play. I don't understand how the guy is still in the league, but he'd be #4 on my list of 3 QB's on that team.

Brad Johnson has the best skills of that trio by far. He'd be my choice any day of the week, and twice on Sunday...literally.

I didn't realize Doug Flutie was posting on these boards
Seriously - what a load of crap that is. Did it ever cross your mind that Rob holds on to the ball because he's trying to make a play? It's a bad habbit that he has, but anybody who questions his heart should watch the tape of the '99 wildcard game vs. the Titans, or last year's game vs. the Chargers, or the game against the Chiefs 2 years ago.
He's also a really good person. He may not constantly brag about his charity work in front of the cameras, but he's genuine and he's not a 2-faced fraud. He may never develop the proper awareness be a Pro-Bowl QB, but he's really not as bad as the people on Sportscenter would have you believe - I for one wish him the best of luck in Tampa. I'm just happy my team doesn't have no stinkin controversy anymore.

Re: ***NFL POLL***Tampa\'s Quarterback Controversy

This year Brad will most likely get the nod. [really going out on a limb there ]

In the future I think that they can't go wrong with either King or Johnson with Gruden leading them..just look what he did with Gannon.

Brad Johnson. He's easily the best on the team, Rob Johnson is better than King but he is getting too old so if Johnson gets hurt I'd put in King because he still has a future with some NFL team out there.
