IMO that was the most significant part of the game. The Bengals offense mustered either 3 or 4 yards on the first 2 possessions and then 30 yards and 18, 4 possessions right in the middle of that and yet Cleveland had 3 points in the 2nd half. I won't put it on just the Cleveland QB but he shares some of that responsibility.
The entire offense shares the responsibility.

To say that he's not that good based on a half where his receivers couldn't catch and his o-line played like crap is way off base. Just last year, McCoy beat the Bengals pretty good. And now he's not good because the entire offense played like crap?

Meh.

But one game where he got hung out to dry by his O-line shouldn't be enough to say he isn't good.

In short, focus on your own team before talking about my team.
I've watched both of these teams play a lot over the last 20 years. I've actually probably seen more Browns games than Bengals games. I've seen enough of both teams to give what I feel to be are accurate assessments. Neither team is a step above the other in talent. I think the Browns are slightly better at QB, RB, OL, and in the secondary. I think the Bengals have slightly better WR /TE, DL, and LB. The Browns biggest talent advantage over the Bengals was negated with the new kickoff rule.

Well I would definitely agree with that and I wouldn't argue he isn't good. It's just like saying Dalton is going to be a pretty good QB even though he wasn't in there long and had the advantage of good starting field position.

It's only one game and the pre-season, but it seems like the Browns offensive line is MUCH better than the Bengals. Very little time for the QB's today and Benson until the TD run had no holes today, a line of defensive browns players getting through just not good run blocking at all.

The 'well the WRs couldn't catch' type excuses start to mean less and the QB shoulders more of the blame when he does things like throwing a pass to his center in probably the biggest clutch situation in the game.

The offensive line was pretty solid until the Bengals took the late lead and were just pinning their ears back rushing.Until McCoy can consistently play like he did last year against the Bengals, the Browns offense will struggle. It's really hard when a team can just load up to stop your running game without the quarterback (and wide receivers for that matter) being able to make plays against single coverage.

Suck for Luck. Let's do it. We already lost to the Bengals so why not?

If we truly are worse than the Bengals, then I will fully embrace the suck for Luck campaign with glee, despite how I feel on McCoy.
