If they haven't called Garrard already I doubt they'll call him now. Besides, Garrard wants to be on a team where he's a starter and get a big pay day too. I got that info from Jason La canfora BTW

What an ugly win. The Steelers offensive line continues to be a liability whether it be from injuries or poor play or both. They also need to quit turning the ball over.

To be fair, the two fumbles would've happened to any QB in the NFL, the first was just Ben holding on a bit too long but the good outweighs the bad when he does that. The second was just bad blocking and Freeney being a beast.

That game was way better than I would have ever expected it to be, too bad the Steelers had to win it though.

Good showing from MVPainter though. I wonder how much longer until Manning gets his walking papers.

Maybe Painter can translate some of that play in the preseason into the regular season. I really don't think Painter is the answer even as a backup for Manning but, really what can it hurt to start Painter and give him a chance. Kerry Collins is not the guy for this team. If I'm going to watch someone play crappy I would rather have Painter out their doing it to at least see what he can do. The Colts need to give Painter all the snaps in practice and let him start.
The Colts treat the preseason exactly how it should be treated: as an evaluation period. Over the years watching the games that way gave early indications on the rise of players such as Jerraud Powers, Pat Angerer, etc.

Now I don't know if Painter will translate to the regular season but he has a good arm and I think if he settles down and starts throwing more balls he will be serviceable.

I tip my hat to the Colts. I thought Pitt was going to beat them silly. That's why they play the games.

I agree the Colts treat the preseason right. It's all about evaluation talent and finding the right players for your team. Still that doesn't make it must see tv for me and I don't tune in to watch.
