NFL2K3 problem...Pass coverage....cant cover whole field....

Folks, I think I have found one of my problems in NFL2k3 that is making defense so difficult for me....On pass plays, from a STANDARD view. The camera doesnt zoom back against the CPU like it does when your on offense on pass plays. So most passes to the wide parts of the field cannot be seen until the last possible second when it may be too late to react and switch to manual coverage. This is bothering me.

Also, on my XBOX, I went to the practice field to practice all my moves and lo and behold I test the tapping of the A button for speed burst and find almost little or NO speed increase whatsoever! Is this because of the pressure sensitive button problem or did Sega screw up something else on the Xbox translation?

I tried practicing the speed burst with offensive players and defensive players...the only increase whatsoever i can manage is when you hold the power all the way down then release when it is full and hit the A quickly again and it will do a power move charge that gives him a little head down squirt charge but I havent seen any indication of increased speed by tapping the A

Can someone please comment on both of these things that have been bothering me?...and please test them before you just quickly discount this

thanks!

I control my DT so I don't have your first problem. Playing in Far view is always an option. In fact, I think I will start playing in Far view in order to do quick outs. I have mainly been passing down the middle.

As for speed bursts, the increase is very subtle, but it's there. I wish VC had made it a little more pronounced. I have yet to break out a long run without getting tackled inside the 10.

You're suppose to run while its full then when you meet a defender, hit the juke move or whatever then fill it back up and so on.(it works 4 me)

The sprint is subtle (as it is in Madden), but it's there. You are correct about the cameras. I think VC did this so you wouldn't know immediately if the CPU is running or passing. You'll also notice that if you have the "zoom out on pass plays" feature turned on, when you are playing a human opponent it zooms out on running plays as well. This is so the players can't tell immediately that it's a running play. But when you play the CPU it only zooms out if you are passing.

But it is annoying that the camera doesn't zoom out when the CPU passes. It makes it difficult to play quality pass defense. Whatever merits VC sees in this system, it's not worth it.
