So the Bears went out in a formation to I would think is bait the Lions offsides, call a timeout, and then go for it? Does that make any sense at all?

And now they're challenging? Do they not want timeouts?

Same reason they went for it on 4th and goal against the Lions last year instead of icing the game with a FG. Lovie Smith is a moron.
