so madden you have to pay to play but 2k3 is free! is that true is 2k3 free to play on the internet.

You only have to pay for Madden on PC not Playstation 2

And from what I hear, Madden PC is free if you play IP to IP, you have to pay if you want to use their matchmaking service.

Not sure if its true, just read it somewhere the other day.

also do any of you know what game runs smoother on the 56k? madden2003 or nfl2k3? my area sucks and no broadband for me.

I hear Madden does run silky smooth, All I've heard about 2K online is that it is fun but suffers from the occasional lag issue, but it isn't too bad unless you are trying to kick a game winning 45 yard FG or something like that.

So far, my madden expereince online has been smooth, although yesterday I played a guy with a bad connection and it stuttered, but for teh most part, it's very smooth.

nfl2k3 only first night had some lag, but after that, the last 5 days, it's been smooth for me. The part you mentioned isn't lag, it's slowdownw when you return kickoffs.

So far so good with both games, don't know though when sony's adapter is out and both networks are flooded with people.

Its a measley 6 bucks a month, plus its only after the FREE 90 days before it.
