Can't figure out why Tebow is worse this season as a passer then last season

Last season I think it was more of a Michael Vick type process... lets put him out there in the traditional offenses, and when things break down he can take off.

This year they tried that, then tried to run a primarily shotgun offense... neither worked with much success outside of garbage time/prevent defenses, so now they're changing their plan to make him more of an option QB which doesn't really work well in the NFL. It has done OK so far against these teams that aren't very good... but a lot of their running was also out of more traditional looks today because the Chiefs couldn't stop them either way.

Last season, Tebow played in late season garbage games. They let Tebow just play. This year, these games matter, and the coaches clearly do not want Tebow screwing up. Just letting Tebow play without concern is not an option. Studdesville wouldn't care, last year. He was a temp. When the games matter, everything changes.

I can't fault Tebow for the play selection but it was pathetic.

He was allowed to throw either a screen or a deep playaction pass and that was it. Terrible playcalling, nice win but they need to open it up more.

You won't keep winning in the NFL this way.
Honest question, no sarcasm. Would you prefer the Broncos lose so that they nix the Tebow era?

It will be interesting to watch the option vs Jets, I expect it to collapse big time.
I can't wait for this Thursday's game vs. Jets...

It must be crazy to have to live through this kind of experiment when your favorite team (who is in the hunt in the West) is involved, but it makes for some really interesting football for the rest of us...

Wow...

Solely because of Tebow. They'd be 2-7 if Orton were still playing.

I was just using math and logic. Orton was 1-4 as the starter this year. You're right, 2-7 might have been generous.
