It's hard with defensive players, particularly if you're just watching the TV feed. Did he really do that well against Megatron, or were there other factors schematically?

Again I like Grimes, I just don't have him in my top 5.

Yea besides for one play where the lions ran a fake reverse that fooled everyone an got Calvin a huge chunk of yarda, he was basically shut down by Grimes. That's why some fans started calling him optimus Grimes.

Re: Best Players In NFL As Of Now (2012)

Top 5 at each position in no particular order(Consistency is the key for me):

QB:
Drew Brees
Tom Brady
El. Manning
Aaron Rodgers
Philip Rivers(if Manning shows no ill effects from the Neck, then he goes here)But I also have him here because he's put up great numbers and kept his team in contentions while playing with garbage at WR and his number 1 target battling Foot Injuries the last few seasons

RB(tough one to do):
Adrian Peterson
Chris Johnson
LeSean McCoy
Maurice Jones-Drew
Ray Rice

FB(Difficult one to do since most teams utilizing extra TEs in their sets and use them sometimes)
Vonta Leach
John Kuhn
Lawrence Vickers

WR:

Larry Fitzgerald
Andre Johnson
Greg Jennings
Calvin Johnson
Reggie Wayne

TE:

Antonio Gates
Tony Gonzalez
Jason Witten
Vernon Davis
Jimmy Graham/Rob Gronkowski(Toss up between the two)

OL:

Joe Thomas
D'Brickashaw Ferguson
Nick Mangold
Josh Sitton
Carl Nicks

DT(3-4/4-3)
Jay Ratliff/Ndamukong Suh
Vince Wilfork/Kevin Williams
Casey Hampton/Justin Smith
BJ Raji/Haloti Ngata
Kyle Williams/Darnell Dockett

DE:
Julius Peppers
Jared Allen
Justin Tuck
Trent Cole
Mario Williams

OLB(Was hard as **** trying to separate 3-4 and 4-3 OLBs):
Demarcus Ware
Clay Matthews
Terrell Suggs
Cameron Wake
Lance Briggs

ILB:
Patrick Willis
Ray Lewis
Jerod Mayo
London Fletcher
Jon Beason/Lawrence Timmons(Toss up)

CB:
Darrelle Revis
Champ Bailey
Corey Webster
Johnathan Joseph
Leon Hall

SS:
Troy Polumalu
Patrick Chung
Kam Chancellor
Adrian Wilson
Bernard Pollard

FS:

So is this like when Ruben Patterson called himself the Kobe Stopper back in the day?

The only problem I have with this list is Megatron not in your top 5. IMO, he's AT WORST the number 3 receiver in the league...then everyone else has a tie for 4th. I think the disparity is enough to argue that.
