Seeing the eagles like this has been amazing. Too bad this means they get a good draft pick.

The second they traded Asante it all went downhill.

The disadvantage to the college rule is that if you're beat deep, you can interfere and give up 15 as opposed to 60. In other words, it can be exploited to benefit the defense, which is the opposite intention of the rule.

The college rule doesnt assume the WR would make the catch.

I swear Celek gets his **** rocked at least a few times a game, but he keeps coming back for more. Earlier this season, I kid you not, he got blown up on 2 consecutive plays. I admire the toughness but damn if I'm not worried about his health.

That's what I was thinking. Maybe there can be a judgment call here where if the foul is blatant, it's a spot foul, otherwise just 15. Or perhaps they can bump it up to 20-25 to keep it severe but not a death wish.

He is still correct though. DBs would exploit it all game. You'd much rather have a 15 yard penalty instead of a 50 yard completion. The rule is fine, they just need to fix their judgement.

I dont see PI exploited at the college level in this way at all. And besides it is still a 15 yard penalty aka we dont give you full credit for a catch when you didnt catch the ball.
