How did you become a fan of your favorite team?

I thought that this would be an interesting discussion topic. Why did you become a fan of your favorite team? I'm a fan of the Packers because I did my homework beforehand, and I decided after researching the Packers, that they were going to be my favorite team and fortunately, they still are.

For the Seahawks, it was the trip to the Super Bowl, then making the playoffs at 7-9, this year's game against the Packers, then beating the Patriots. They have the weirdest luck and the coolest uniforms. For the Titans, I had started going to the gym, and a current player/former Texas Tech player saw my check-in on Facebook and told me that he was cheering for me, and I thought that was pretty badass of him to do, so I decided that since he was cheering for me, I would cheer for him and his team.
