Re: 2013 Pro Bowl Selections

It's all a popularity contest and the 3-4 outside backers clearly get the sexy stats that lead to becoming more popular.

I am a Vikings fan so I may be biased but Chad Greenway deserves to be in the pro bowl. He is second in the league in tackles, and watching the Vikings play every game he is the only linebacker that does things the right way. He plays well in space and is good against the run.

The guys that made it as the outside backers are deserving, but they have the advantage of playing as rush guys 80 percent of the time and putting up the big sacks that people fall in love with.

Huh?

Decker - 78 rec, 988 yards, 11 TDs
Johnson - 100 rec, 1457 yards, 4 TDs

I just don't understand this recent argument by some that TDs apparently define receivers.

I was surprised Berry made it in. Good for him though.

Good to see Dustin Colquitt finally get in.

Don't get me wrong, I love Greenway too, but to say that Clay Matthews is just a pass rusher is a injustice. He is great against the run, too, not just a pass rusher.

Re: 2013 Pro Bowl Selections

Wes Welker over Demaryius Thomas? I disagree with that, but whatever. And I'm not sure what Hali is doing in the Pro Bowl. Not sure I would've voted in Dumervil. The man struggled for most of the year, and a lot of his sacks were clean up duty late in the game. Not to mention that, for a while, Dumervil was a run-defense liability. And that's with Von Miller on the field, demanding attention.
