1. Calvin Johnson
2. Antonio Brown
3. Dez Bryant
4. Demaryius Thomas
5. AJ Green
6. Julio Jones

Brown is playing as good of football as anyone right now. DT is playing well after a bad start, and Dez isn't getting the looks thanks to DeMarco and that O-Line. Calvin is still #1 even with the injuries, and I'd probably move AJ above DT if he could stay healthy. Julio is one of the most talented WR's in the NFL, but drops are killing him this year.

While I agree, its only silly if you "forget" about a player because of one down year. If it lasts more than one year, then you have to start considering regression, especially if age is becoming a factor like it is for those two.

Fitz and AJ are both still very good and can still have dominant performances, but I dont think either are capable of being as CONSISTENTLY dominant as they one were. I still consider them both top 10, but I dont consider them elite WRs like I used to....and they were both in my top 3 for several years.

I don't disagree but at the same time, it's hard to consistently dominant in each game for 3, 4 or 5 years like those two have been. Wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing it happen to Calvin as well.

Re: Ranking the best receivers in the league.

Here is my ranking of the top 10 receivers in the league:
1. Calvin Johnson
2. Antonio Brown
3. Dez Bryant
4. Jordy Nelson
5. A.J. Green
6. DeMaryius Thomas
7. Julio Jones
8. Golden Tate
9. Steve Smith
10. Brandon Marshall

Randall Cobb, DeAndre Hopkins, Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, T.Y. Hilton and Alshon Jeffery also are all very good receivers but I don't think they belong in the top 10 just yet

I think DeAndre Hopkins has played his way into the conversation with Mallet/Hoyer throwing him the ball. He's on pace to shatter the targets record by about 30. It's sheer volume with him. He impressed the hell out of me last night.

Re: Ranking the best receivers in the league.

Julio received ZERO votes.

I bet that would change now.

I'd still be fine with Brown

Re: Ranking the best receivers in the league.

He's not the best receiver in the league and he would by no means be the first player selected in a Madden-style fantasy draft, but:

Per Football Outsiders, no WR has more impact per-play this year so far than James Jones of the Packers. His DVOA (their proprietary stat for this measure) is about double of the second-best guy in that metric (Larry Fitzgerald). Which is insane.

Having watched all the Packers' games so far this season, what I see with my eyes match up with that stat; pretty much any time Jones catches the ball, he gets a first down or a touchdown, lol.
