That was my takeaway from the game, that and Tom Coughlin actually wanting to punt on 4th down.

The game got out of hand.

Norman's 'body slam' wasn't much of one, to be honest. The only egregious act was Beckham's launch, everything else was stupid and extremely selfish of both players.

It certainly should have been a penalty but the term "bodyslam" is misleading. He picked him up Beckham and dropped him.

You are right, I don't really know the technicalities of the term body slam. My point was, it was right in front of the official and should have been flagged immediately.

These officials did such a poor job of controlling the game. A few flags my have helped curtail OBJ's situation. It obviously falls on Norman and OBJ's shoulders to control themselves. Just sucks to see no refs jump in, no coaches jump in, OBJ was left out to dry.

Somebody should have stepped in...but saying he was left out to dry paints him as a victim.

He was a victim of his own poor choices.

Nah OBJ just lost his mind. Should have embarrassed Norman within the game by burning him in routes. Not tried to kill him on the field.

This won't be the last time he's targeted like this, he needs to learn to deal with it without becoming a psychopath.
