$125m contract extension makes Carr a Raider through 2022. Reportedly features some delayed $$ to allow the team to more easily sign some of their other stars as well as take advantage of the changing tax situation as the team relocates in 2020.

Where's that rank him among current QB's? I have to assume he's a top 5 paid guy now, probably top 3. I assume Luck remains 1.

They need any relief they can get because Mack is gonna be the richest defender in history soon enough.

Obviously, you can't let either Carr or Mack walk, but now you're paying 2 guys a disproportionate % of the cap. So we'll see just how good McKenzie and Co is. They nailed the rebuild. Now can they nail sustaining success?
