Besides the Giants losing on last minute FG's in consecutive weeks I can't think of a team losing in such gut wrenching fashion like we have this season.
As I said in the team thread...

So, maybe this'll be controversial; I think this is precisely the team we, deep down, anticipated.

In fact, in some ways, it's a best case scenario.

The front seven is dominant, the secondary is average, the offensive line is pitiful, Hyde is a beast, and we have a cast off quarterback.

A totally believable prediction in May, a completely valid analysis now.

The team is in no better or worse shape than we should have thought they'd be.

One thing, I sure hope the season has put to rest the rumors of Hyde's demise. He is a vastly better back than Breida and frankly one of the better backs in the league.

Totally agreed, We could easily be 3-1 and not 0-4. I do like where we are headed vs under the Balke and Chip era. It's the best direction since Harb

I don't disagree. I felt a 4-12 season was the best we would do but the close games gave me hope only to see it dashed with them all converting to close losses.

As for Hyde I never thought he was on some sort of demise, he hasn't been in the league long enough to be on a demise in the first place. His biggest issue is staying healthy more then anything, hopefully this is the season he can stay out there consistently and stay off the injured list.

Yeah, I originally posted that in the team thread where several were talking about Breida or Williams taking over during the preseason. I think we've seen now there's a vast gulf between Hyde and Breida at least.

Still, I'd like to see Mostert get a few handles.

I’m still excited about Williams.

I want to see Hyde stay healthy. He’s a beast when healthy.
