Good win Lions. That's how we should be putting teams away. We do need a damn running game some day though.

We should have won at least two of the games we lost, smh. Team is better than its record. Stafford needs to go off against Cleveland next week.

See y'all in week 17, Packers fans.
Are you suggesting stockpiling RBs who work well in space and repeatedly smashing them straight up the middle isn't awesome?

Lions became the 31st team since 2001 to go through a game without punting. Also the first time they've done it since 1971.

I mean, not at the goal line at least. I get it a bit elsewhere on the field, because you have to keep the other team honest. But it would be nice to get a good power back this offseason.

Capers gotta go after the year, man.

Pretty sure Bulaga is going to be done for the year again and we need to move on from him as well.

Offensively, I’m not even sure what we’re trying to achieve at this point. We’ve got talent on that side of the ball contrary to what people say but yet we don’t utilize them in anything other than short, underneath passes and taking very little, if any shots downfield unless we’re trying to play catch-up.

Don’t know what the hell that Cobb foolishness was on 4th down either.

When Rodgers got hurt, my goal was just to tread water til he comes back and when our division games. Now, I’m not even sure if we can win period.

Browns are still on the schedule.

Rodgers masked a lot on our defense, a lot.

The only one that I was impressed with was King and Jones.

Capers has got to go.

I agree that there is talent, but I'm beginning to think that they aren't as talented as we may have thought. Cobb has a good initial step, but I never see the elusiveness I see out of other players of his mold. I don't see the ability to run after the catch from anyone on the team consistently. Jordy is still a great route runner, but we aren't getting any deep shots out of him. I'm not sure if that is him losing a step or just the very vanilla play calling. Davante shows occasional brilliance, but its only occasional.

Play calling is frustrating. Its very vanilla in concepts which in itself isn't bad, but I see so much more inventiveness out of just about every other team we play. I've seen this for years though, and I understand that McCarthy is a west coast disciple, but so is a guy like Andy Reid and I feel his offense is much more diverse. Even with Rodgers it never seems like we actively try to get guys open vs man coverage (outside of the the short rub routes). The few times they do try to get cute it's at the worst possible time (jet sweep to Cobb).

Remaining schedule:

Cleveland
@Chicago
Minnesota
@Baltimore
@Tampa
Chicago
@Cincinnati
Green Bay

Probably need to go 6-2 to make the playoffs. Only the Vikings have a winning record, and their schedule is more difficult. Lions have a decent shot at it, but I'd rather be the 6-2 team right now.
