Re: Week 4 Discussion Thread

As much as I complain about Tomlin, holy hell that was a horrible coaching decision not to punt in the Indy game.

Can't bring myself to shame a head coach of a 1-2 team for playing not to tie.

Re: Week 4 Discussion Thread

Did anyone see the "forward progress stopped" call on Lynch earlier? Compare that play to the first drive of the year against the Rams when they let him get in the endzone, not blowing the whistle. It's unbelievable that they blew the whistle down on him here.

Also, BS RTP call on Mayfield. Even he would agree with that.

Yeah, but with the field position they were at and the amount of time left it just wasn't wise. Failing to convert keeps the Texans in too close of FG-range, and there's no chance for them to "try again" later because they had like a minute or less left.

Again, in foresight it was a stupid decision. Even if they convert on that, or furthermore win. Just because he doesn't have to answer for it if they win doesn't make it a smart move.

Plus **** a tie.
Now I certainly can't agree with this enough. If that's his rationale, more power to him. I almost think Tennessee was going to do the same thing if 4th down came up for them. These ties are killing the early weeks of the season so far.

I have zero problems with the Frank Reich call. Zero.

As a Texans fan I should think not, but anyone who doesn't recognize the foolhardiness of that decision is blind.

Really? A tie is better than a loss. That's not an opinion, it's an objective fact. What are you talking about?
