I wonder who will be the Keith Tkachuk of this post-lockout. Byfuglien has to be the leading contender.

Wow, that does not look like a professional athlete. Haha.

I really want to see him on skates.

Reminds me of old games (Madded in particular, but we probably did it in hockey games, too) where my friends and I would create super fat players and give them 99 speed, looked hilarious. Lol

I hope the Blackhawks PP can do something this year but the fact that coach Q decided to keep Kitchen thus he's still in charge of it I'm not optimistic.

Also need Crawford to bounce back or this could be a really bad year.

Hosea will be the other thing I'm anxious to see out of the gate, after the hit from Torres that ended his season I'll be looking to see if he still looks like the same player.

Re: The Official 2013 Regular Season Talk Thread

Kings will need to find offense a lot quicker this season if they want to make the playoffs. Last season it took them until late to find their stride, but I will put that up to the additions to the roster.

Hopefully the Kings of the playoffs show up from day 1. It's going to be tough for Quick to improve on the season he had last year, I'm just hoping he doesn't drop off too much.

I'm curious to see if the Kings will move Bernier or if they will keep him due to the condensed season.

Happy New Year, fellas. Been a while for me. Looking forward to the new season.

The shortened season may favor some older teams, no? Play will also probably be a bit rough for the first 2-3 weeks - may see some sloppy and chippy games, if history is a guide. Kind of like the Wings in a 48-game season, just sayin'....

I think it'll be huge for guys like Kimmo Timonen. He was running on fumes during the playoffs last year.
