Just wanted to point out that when this was posted, it wasn't updated. Our chance is actually now at 99.3%,

In comparison, Mexico's chances stand at 58.3% And we have a nice chance to put a dent in that if Mexico doesn't finally score and win a match at home against Honduras (if Mexico wins that match, they are all but in). That's just fantastic.

Good point that I forgot too mention. Jones is our enforcer w/ Gooch no longer being able to play at the nat'l level.

Yes, and I think Cameron would step in to that role in the midfield too. He does play for Stoke, so he's been directed to muck things up and destroy legs for the past year. I loved his closing down in that Panama match. When possession was given up, he was immediately a pest. Jones is certainly the first choice in this role right now, but - here again - it's nice to have a valid plan B.

I wish Conor Casey and Mike Magee were on Gold Cup provisional roster in place of Gordon and Wondo. Casey and Magee deserve spots.

Why would you root for your biggest rival?

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread

Being half Mexican I used to root for both, but learning how vile the fans are I could give a ****s less about El Tri. Especially the way some of the Mexican-American fans of El Tri that live in the states. Still enjoy Liga MX but I openly root against El Tri to not make the World Cup. I very well think it could happen too if they drop points at home and lose their away ties.

However, this is a USMNT thread so I'd rather keep the focus on our team. It'll be interesting to see how Brek Shea and Geoff Cameron fit in at Stoke. I hope they get first team play so it doesn't hurt their chances. Klinsmann did still call up Danny Williams despite rarely playing but sent him back home for lack of fitness, he promptly went on a vacation to Las Vegas while his team was playing against Panama and Honduras. I do think the part in the article about the Germans isolating themselves was bs though for the most part. Danny Williams and Timothy Chandler I'm a little questionable of but I know Boyd, Fabian, Danny, and Jones all mix with the Americans. Might of really started with this long camp and string of games but the chemistry seems to be there.
