Re: The Transfer Thread

Real Madrid's Guti is reportedly sick of being the "eternal substitute" and is seeking a move to England - Liverpool and Arsenal are keen on him.

Figo would join Kluivert at Valencia, if that move ever went through

Re: The Transfer Thread

Chelsea have made an astonishing £57 million world record bid to land AC Milan superstar Andriy Shevchenko -- and were last night told it's not enough. The Premiership champions offered AC Milan £48.9m plus Hernan Crespo in a determined effort to bring the 29-year-old Ukrainian to Stamford Bridge. With Crespo valued at around £8m, it would have smashed the current record, the £46.5m Real Madrid paid Juventus for Zinedine Zidane four years ago.

If Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich believed his stunning offer would tempt Milan, he was shown to be wrong last night as the Italian giants rebuffed the bid. Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said: "Chelsea have asked us for Shevchenko but we have told them 'No'. Sheva is not for sale. He is unsellable."

Re: The Transfer Thread

Arsenal is targeting Hleb and Robinho. Can someone give me a scouting report on either.

Re: The Transfer Thread

Hleb is good, surprised that the new coach wouldn't at least try to stand in the way a little bit.

Robinho's gifted, but I think he's a bit slight for the Prem. La Liga or Serie A would be a better choice for him IMO.
