Well, it was a rumor.

But we also live in a world that has been skewed by the likes of Man City and PSG inflating prices in the market.

One thing is for sure, and that is if Arsenal does get him it'll be for less than £20 million.

I love the silly season. I have a feeling the non Gunners will be out in full force as we drule about somebody we probably have no chance at getting.

With that said we get Jovetic for about 23 million pounds.

Thought you had to agree on terms with the club before you could even start discussions with the player?

Article states that the teams have had preliminary fee discussions, in which permission was likely granted to open contract talks. There's probably a minimum fee agreed to with conditions that could raise it.
