Re: The Transfer Thread

Falcao with Chelsea is a solid move by Jose. He's technically still in his prime and he's paired with the right coach to get the best out of him. If he can regain his confidence, watch out.

His game was never about speed, and he in fact is very technically gifted. He dominated in Portugal and Spain because he has phenomenal positioning and fantastic technical ability to go with his impressive physical strength. He hasn't lost a step because he didn't have much of a step to lose. He very clearly has massive confidence issues, which would be the only worry in taking him because we just got rid of a striker with massive confidence issues.
The Return of El Nino! or El Nino 2.0.

The Transfer Thread

That's going to be the factor. I think Torres' game was predicated on his pace as well as his power. Once he lost a step he wasn't nearly as effective. The confidence issues also contributed massively to his rapid decline. I see Falcao being different. He's exactly the kind of striker that could do well in a rotation system. The other thing to remember is that Chelsea have better playmakers to get him the ball than United. He's a Mourinho type of striker in what he offers. If this deal pans out then this is a very shrewd move by Chelsea

Re: The Transfer Thread

So, looks like Pirlo is gonna be introduced at NYCFC on Friday. Lot of crotchety old midfielders joining the MLS lately.

I don't watch the MLS often, but those oldies will most probably still deliver a better ball than anyone else on there.

Now, what's the over-under on City "loaning" Pirlo to themselves?

Looks like Kondogbia chose Inter

Jackson Martinez to replace Mandzukic at Atletico
Mandzukic off to Juventus to replace Tevez
Liverpool got Joseph Gomez

Kieran Trippier to Spurs

Andreas Weiman to Derby

Cech to Arsenal

It will be interesting to see if any of these Ramos to United swap for Da Gea + cash rumors come true.

Bayern look close to snatching up Douglas Costa from Shakthar
