Re: MLS Discussion Thread

Good to see Columbus sold out tonight. Not exactly a game that will make them rush out and buy season tickets next year.

I'm content with the draw. If they can't win the return leg at BMO they don't deserve to advance. Happy Bradley didn't get a second yellow.

Bono has easily been TFC's best player in the playoffs.

Osorio might be the worst player in the MLS. Surely there is someone better in the NASL, or Toronto house league soccer better than him.

Re: MLS Discussion Thread

Nice for TFC to get tie on road without top guys. Coming back home not just with stars returning, but completely fresh will be nice too. Don't think suspension can happen for mls cup can it? If not, then TFC can be more aggressive and not worry about yellows.

A rematch of last year would be nice, especially if TFC wins this time.

Game day! What a week this could be in the city. Argos win Grey cup in such an entertaining football game, and we could have TFC advance to 2nd straight mls cup with win.

Re: MLS Discussion Thread

Hosting the Cup again. Survived 1-0. Hopefully, different result in the final but I could see Seattle pulling it off again.

Heroic performance by Altidore. It looked like he was coming off for sure due to injury. The announcers even called the sub and then he goes on to score the winner.

Would suck if TFC loses for a 2nd straight year. No doubt greatest team in MLS history if they win, but will end up like 15-16 Warriors if they lose.

Really did look like Altidore was done. They announced his replacement, and going on about if TFC wins the game if Altidore would even be able to play. 10 minutes later, he scores the game winning goal.

Repeat MLS cups has actually happened alot more than I thought. Houston-New England in 06/07 with Houston winning both years. LA-Houston in 11/12 with LA winning both years. Lets hope if it's TFC-Seattle we don't see same team win twice again.

1 more game!

Re: MLS Discussion Thread

Mls cup rematch it is!

Not that they need it, but you can't get more motivated than TFC should be.

Best point total ever, going into mls cup for 2nd straight year, trying to defeat the team who beat you last year without getting a shot on goal, trying to be first team in mls history to win supporters shield/mls cup/domestic trophy in same year, would be first Canadian team to win it(and the city's first major pro sports champ in 24 years), and 2 of your best players are despised by their country for a poor performance in wc qualifiers.

No pressure lol.

Re: MLS Discussion Thread

Game day!

Gonna be a cloudy and cold day. Had ny been in finals, it's be just as cold, but lots of snow. Columbus also getting snow today.

Who knows if mls will ever decide to fix the playoffs and actually have games more frequently, and not end season in December.
