Come on man, we have all played sports in many different levels. There is just an unofficial code of conduct out there and this has nothing to do with haters gonna hate or any internet nonsense. It was even uncomfortable watching. As i said, i understand scoring. Differential matters and its so early in the tournament that you dont know how bad any other team in their group will beat Thailand also so you have to score to in the group.
What they didnt have to do was coordinate celebrations scoring seconds to minutes apart when the other team was clearly not only inferior, but was already losing at a record breaking pace. Its just rarely seen by a powerhouse team against such an inferior opponent. Obviously there is no exact number but when it was 8+ to 0 in like the 80th minute or whatever, they could tobe down running into the bench with dances etc.

If it's not official, I don't really care about it. They showed them respect before and after the match, and celebrating goals is perfectly fine in my book. Unwritten rules are garbage and always have been.

Well yeah, but Thailand is still more or less a sunday league team compared to the rest of the group.

It really doesn't bother me too much, but imo there's more of an argument for it being a bit lame than there is for it being totally fine.

I wouldn't do it personally, but there's not a chance in hell i'm criticizing anyone for doing it.

There has really been some baffling var penalties given in this tournament.

Yeah some of these VAR decisions are really not a good advert for it.

Also Nigeria got shafted there. Either you re-take the penalty twice, or you don't have them re-take at all.

Re-taking one but not the other is ridiculous.

Re: FIFA 2019 Women's World Cup

I'm the biggest proponent of VAR, but legislating the goalie on the goal line for penalties thing with it is so asinine.

The governing bodies of every sport need to go to a conference held by rugby to learn how to work common sense into their rules.

Scotland and blowing a knockout round qualification chance in the 3rd match. A tradition unlike any other.
