Someone in the know, what is this level of motorcycle racing relative to MotoGP? Is SNK to MotoGP the equivalent of IndyCar to F1? And how is the gameplay with this game compared to the MotoGP game? I have been on a racing game kick the last few years and curious if I need to pick one of these games up (never really played a motorcycle racing game unless you include Road Rash).

It's more like Motogp is F1 and SBK is sports cars. Motogp has purpose built bikes that are designed specifically for maximum racing performance while SBK has race modified production bikes. SBK has only 12 tracks on which they have 3 races in a weekend whereas Motogp races on 21 different tracks and have one race per weekend, similar to F1. Also, 7 of the current SBK tracks are also current Motogp tracks and 2 more of them are also available in Motogp 22 through the 2009 season content that comes with the game and can be raced with modern bikes in all modes except career.

As far as gameplay goes, they seem pretty similar from the videos I have watched yesterday. I have heard at least 2 different content Youtube creators that specialise in bkike racing games say that SBK feels like a tweaked Motogp 21.

One thing I can tell you is that bike games are a lot harder than car racing games if you are not accustomed to them. You need to slow down way more for turns and turn in way earlier (sometimes before you even see the corner). Add to that the fact that getting it wrong often means falling off the bike entirely and it can get frustrating quickly until you get the hang of it.

Yea I have a hard time with bike games like MotoGP. I was hoping SBK would be more forgiving but to me its just as hard. I stink so bad at motorcycle games.

mercalnd, thank you for the info brother. From watching videos, I did get the impression MotoGP would be a very difficult game. The graphics look so crisp and I'd love to see what the game looks like on my PS5/4K setup, but it sounds like the in-game action might quickly turn me off.

Can someone produce a 2022 version of Road Rash??? That would be sweet.

There is a game called Road Redemption which is like a spiritual sequel to Road Rash on PC/XB/PS
