It turns out it's actually a feature on the PC side of things, but they clearly put that footage in the trailer to get people to do what you did.

Heat 5 is getting 2022 DLC that will be playable in career but no date of release yet, which only seems more intentional the more footage of Ignition I see. I wouldn't doubt if that DLC is released around the time Rivals is, or even right before the season ends.

I don’t see the rear view mirror in patch notes on Pc either. And comments under it make it seem as it’s not included. I have not downloaded update yet, not sure I will.

As for Heat 5 2022 update, saw a report somewhere that said the 21st of this month.

Have to say I love how you can’t use the next gen car in career for Ignition….but you will be able to for Heat 5. Brilliant!

After watching a couple YouTube videos it appears there isn’t a way to use the NextGen 2022 expansion in a season mode or career mode - which is a little disappointing.

Not for ignition….but you will be able to for Heat 5 once that dlc is released here in a couple weeks.

Decided to download the update tonight on PC. I don't see the rear view mirror on PC either.

Think I've decided to give up on it go back to NR2003. Was looking for a fun more relaxed nascar racer to race with controller. Hopefully I can make NR2003 work that way. Atleast I know that game works perfectly. LOL

I've seen screen captures of the PC version and it showed a rear view mirror that appeared to be active. Maybe it's only one cockpit view in which it works? I just know I've seen multiple screens showing it in use.
