Re: Drive Hub™ - Racing Wheel crossover solution for the Xbox One and PS4

Yeah these guys just made a sale thanks to that review. I needed to fire up my own DFGT on the PC (on PCars 1) to make sure it still works, and it's fine. I could see myself playing a ton of PCars 2 on the PS4 for the foreseeable future, and was tossing around the idea of getting a new wheel.

I still think the game's very playable with a controller, but there's just no substitute for a wheel with FFB. So glad I can get some more mileage out of the DFGT as I feel like it went pretty underused in the PS3 generation. And hearing that the exact same wheel works this well with this adapter is good enough for me.

Man, I'm definitely getting one of these for Christmas. I have a nice MOMO Force Feedback PC wheel that has been collecting dust for YEARS, and it lists it as compatible. I have a huge library of racing games on PS4/XB1 and it'd be a shame not to use a wheel with them.

Your review sold me SLAB!

Re: Drive Hub™ - Racing Wheel crossover solution for the Xbox One and PS4

Mine just arrived today and it'll get some major use in the next few days as I have both PCars2 and GT Sport to use it on. Not much to add from Slab's review - since we have the same wheel I expected it would work great, and it does. He mentioned it in the review, but it's very important to make sure the regular controller is powered off BEFORE you plug it into the adapter - if it's on beforehand the wheel will still work, but only for about 10 minutes before it goes non-responsive. I had this happen tonight early on but quickly figured out what I was doing wrong.

Both games feel great, and my only "issue" is more of an issue with the wheel itself - it's pretty stiff and hard to turn quickly beyond 90 degrees. Any suggestions for fixing that Slab, especially in PCars2? Monza's first chicane is where I'm really noticing it - cutting the wheel back and forth there just doesn't want to go quickly enough.

Thanks for saving me about $100 on a new wheel Slab!

Same! Haven't bought a new wheel so I might go this route. How amazing.

Re: Drive Hub™ - Racing Wheel crossover solution for the Xbox One and PS4

I've got a Thrustmaster TX Leather Edition wheel and T3PA pedal setup that I use with my XBox One and PC. I thought Drive Club on the PS4 would be the game to convince me to one day seek an all in one wheel solution for the three platforms I own, but it didn't float my boat. I've played the GT Sport Demo and liked what I saw and felt out of if with a controller, even though I'm a hazard on the track trying to hold a line with a controller.

I'm just curious to learn if anyone has tried GT Sport with a Thrustmaster TX, via the "Drive Hub"?

Yeah, the Cronus Max is difficult to configure, IMO, and it allegedly allowed the use of force feedback wheels on all the current and last gen consoles and PCs. It was a poor implementation, as the wheel just simulated a thumbstick and couldn't model force feedback. It felt really clumsy and didn't have anything close to a driving feel with it.

The Drive Hub looks to be a no-muss, no-fuss solution and by all reports isn't missing any force feedback effects!

I just ordered a Drivehub yesterday so I can use my TMX with the PS4 for GTS (and Driveclub), hope it turns out well and from what I hear it does work well.

Re: Drive Hub™ - Racing Wheel crossover solution for the Xbox One and PS4

This is the first time I'm hearing about this. I have a Logitech Driving Force GT collecting dust, and would love to use it again... but for free.

$89.99 is a bit of a steep price to keep using my DFGT, but with the 10% off that's a little better, plus it's better than the amount I spent on the DFGT for not using it all this time.

I guess now it's a matter of when I'll get things like GTS and such. I would like to complete some more back-logged games first I guess, but this sounds like a promising future! Thanks a bunch.

EDIT: Out of stock anyway. No worries, I'll get it when the time comes.

SECOND EDIT: On a completely unrelated note, that site also has a device called the CronusMAX PLUS that allows you do basically use your controller for anything in any way, including button re-mapping. This is big because apparently you can do Legacy stick control schemes for games that don't allow that. Oh boy, that is a heavy consideration for me!
